New Year, New Beginnings

January has always felt significant to me, and even more so as I prepare to celebrate my birthday later this month. Birthdays, and certainly the start of a new year, have a way of inviting honest reflection.
They ask us to pause for a moment, to consider what we want to carry with us into the year ahead, what we are ready to let go of, and how we want to live with greater intention in our homes, our work, our faith, and our relationships.
As I look toward 2026, I feel a deep sense of anticipation for what is unfolding with sanctuary ekhaya.

This year is shaping up to be a meaningful one. We have beautiful projects lined up, ranging from warm, soulful homes to thoughtful corporate spaces that hold story, purpose, and community at their core.
You can also look forward to our familiar seasonal rhythm, including two e-books that will weave together styling, recipes, and intentional living. I am hoping we will also explore a few simple DIY moments that you can follow along with and make your own. One of the things I am most excited about is the possibility of hosting a small, intimate live gathering where we come together to learn, share, and experiment with all things home, food, and wine, creating space for connection, creativity, and meaningful conversation.
This year really feels like a year of building with intention. Not building for the sake of movement, but building with clarity, purpose, and care. For some, that may look like shaping a physical home, room by room. For others, it may be strengthening foundations already laid, growing dreams that were planted in quieter seasons, or tending to goals that are finally ready to take root.
May this year meet you with peace, clarity, and moments of unexpected joy. May your home, in whatever season it is in, continue to hold space for hope, healing, and possibility.
I am looking forward to sharing the year ahead with you.
Peace and love,
Dawn
